The WOW Factor Project

Have you ever been wowed? Has WOW ever been your club’s word of the day?

What does WOW mean? Sometimes it is an abbreviation for Ways of Working but mostly it is used to express wonder, amazement or great pleasure!

At the beginning of January Club Presidents will have received an email from Toastmasters International President, Lark Doley, the Golden lady. I hope it didn’t get lost in the other holiday mails, as it contains valuable information about our new initiative, the WowFactorProject.

Toastmasters International has launched this project in order to support our members & clubs with the best club experience possible. The goal of this program is to increase the quality and performance of each club around the world.

Use these tools to analyse your club Club Quality checklist and Moments of Truth.  Be proud of your accomplishments, and realistic about what needs to be improved. Identify strengths, opportunities for improvement & growth, and areas of weakness. Try to do that as quickly as possible, in January if possible.

Then put these findings into a plan of action, to become ‘the best club possible.’, improve each club experience & conduct the best meetings you can. Publicize and hold Open Houses to recruit new members. Share the benefits of Toastmasters with friends and co-workers. Invite members to think and say “wow!” when they attend a meeting.

If your club already makes guests & members say WOW & is the best example of The Wow!Factor Project, create a video and share it  using #wowfactor!
