Can Toastmasters cure social phobia?
Liezl Squire, the very wide-awake Vice President of Public Relations at Total Rosebank had this article published in November 2010.
Interestingly, the article was written by Heather Walker, guest speaker at Toastmasters Greenside’s first meeting on 17 November 2010.
The article describes how Roan Hammond was diagnosed with Social Phobia. He joined Toastmasters at the suggestion of a therapist, and is now the president of his local club, Total Rosebank. We’re not claiming that Toastmasters cures social phobia, but it’s pretty impressive, don’t you think?
